Island Roadside - Acrylic on canvas - 120 x 120 cmRecently completed this piece. It’s off to its new home in NSW. Packing and sending paintings, especially large ones, can be a logistical challenge when you live on an island. Luckily I have been doing it for a while and am getting used to the process. One needs to collect and recycle packaging. This one was packed with refashioned cardboard that once contained our stove and some other large pieces I stored over the last year with some plywood I obtained by exchanging a couple of layer chooks. The alternative is to order packaging and wait weeks for it to find its way here. I do miss the convenience of accessing these things easily when living on the mainland.
